Because of the lyrics, my first thought was to make a very romantic LO ... but as usual, it didn't turn out at all as I had envisioned it in my mind ... The word "lucky" made me think of playing cards, bingo cards, four-leaf clovers (I know I know, they're actually three-leaf clovers but never mind LOL). And of course, my husband being my best friend, I wanted to make a LO about us, but then I found these wonderful pics of my parents, which I thought were perfect for both the love as the friend part, so I decided to give those a try. Once I had made up my mind about the pictures and the embellies, I went through my paper stack, and no matter how hard I tried, I kept reaching for these rather funky papers in stead of the romantic ones ... it was like I didn't have a choice really, my mind was made up for me.
After putting everything in it's place, I felt something was still missing, so I decided to stitch, mimicking the pattern of the papers. That made a huge difference to the page.
I hope you like it, TFL!
