I did it!

I finally did it, I made a blog ... now what will I use this for??? Occasionally I guess I'll write something about my life, just for me to remember some important dates, some kind of journal, but most of all I will be using this to show the LO's I make. I was a bit hesitant at first, I've only been scrapping a few months, and I still have so much to learn, but I figured there are a lot of beginners like me, who like to learn new techniques without feeling overwhelmed by the gorgeous LO's posted all over the net. So I'll be sharing the techniques I've learned so far, easy ones with don't require too much skill LOL.

I'm not going to upload all my LO's, though at the rate I create there aren't that many ... If you are interested, you can visit my gallery at scrapbook.com here

This is my personal favorite so far:

This is my daughter Chloë, happily posing, one of my girls' favorite pasttimes... lucky me LOL!!! Although I have to say, I love the bottom picture the best ... she didn't know I took that one, I told her to wait for a minute while I was doing something else, so she stopped posing ... and that turned out to be my personal favorite of the shoot!

Not much mystery about the how-to of this LO: I distressed the papers with my scissors and I added a doily of which I inked the edges red. The title and tree branch were made out of a cereal box and inked with several brown tints. I drew and cut out the bird, and chalked the edges of its body and the entire wings. The flowers were cut out of pattern paper. I then drew leaves on both sides, which I stitched. I love stitching on paper, it's so easy and it just adds that something extra to a LO.
